Melbourne, August 4. The local manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company (limited), of New Zealand, reports on the local market as follows : — Shipping wheat is quieter at 4s 2d to 4* 3d ; malting barley is quiet at 4s to 4s 6d ; New Zealand oats, feed sorts, are less depressed at 2s lOd to 2s lld, but not much doing; milling descriptions are steady at 3s to 3s ld, but not in active demand ; New Zealand oats under bond, 2s to 2s 3d.
