At the conclusion of tue ceremony an adjournment was made to the refreshment room, where the health of the newly-ap-pointed W.M. was drunk with all the customary honors. Later in the evening a ball was held at the Public Hall. The music was under the direction of Professor Norberg, and gave ample satisfaction. Bro H. L. Sherwill was the M.C. Messrs Summers and Mayhew were the caterers, and were successful in carrying out their part of the proceedings. The hall was beautifully decorated, and reflected credit on the brethren, who had undertaken that onerous task. Dancing commenced about 9.30, and was continued with spirit until about four o'clock this morning. The visitors from Palmerston were numerous, and their presence had a very material effect in making the ball a brilliant success.
