A new clause was added to tho Employment of Females and Others Bill, by which any ether day than Saturday could by made the weekly half-holiday, on a petition of two-thirds of the employes. The Premier mored a new clause proriding that barmaids should net be employed after 6 p.m., nor before 8 A.m. After a lengthy discussion tha clause was lost by 40 to 24 An amendment providing that the Act should net apply to butter and cheese factories was passed, and the Bill as amended reported. The Adoption of Children's Act Amendment Bill was read a third time and passed. Jhe House rose at 11.50.
