The remaining members of the Ministry have all been re-elected without opposition, with the exception of Lord Randolph Churchill, who is opposed in his candidature for Woodstock. It is affirmed that it baa been positively decided to retain possession of the province of Dongola by British troops as far soul h as Akshrek. A loan of £3,500,000 is announced for the Indian Government. Per Merchant Shipping and Underwriters' Association : Arrived — Opawa, from Wellington, April 6. At a meeting of shareholders of the New Zealand Agricultural Company held to-day, it was decided to postpone payment of debentures for five years. The whole capital of the company will be called np within three yean. A grand naval tournament has been held at Banfry by the fifteen ironclad* under the command of Admiral Sir G. T. P. Hornby, which were despatched to the Irish coast for the purpose of carrying out an elaborate system of naval manoeuvres. The tournament was a splendid spectacle. The Diet of the Duchy of Brunswiok have rejected the claims of the Duke of Cumberland to the Dukedom. Lord Carnarvon has been swotn in as member of the Salisbury Ministry. Russia is actively engaged in completing the railway between Kizil Arvat, and Merv. Germany and other Powers have restrained M. de Freycinet, French Minister of Foreign affairs, from pressing the Marquis of Salisbury at present regarding Egyptian affairs. It is rumoured that the Salisbury Ministry have arranged terms with Russia. The election of a member for the Borough of Wakefield, in the room of Mr Robert B. Mqckie (Liberal), deceased, has resulted in the return of Mr Green the Conservative candidate. It is naid upon good authority that a detachment of British troops will garrison Akasheel, a position in the Dongola dis. trict. Caibo, July 3. Lord Wolseley, who has for' some time past been at Soaakioi, is returning to England.
