The wreck of the Aistralasian Steam Navigation Company's s.i. Cahom' which was put «p to auction, realised £600, while the cargo reached £240. The following weights are declared for the New Zealand horses entered for the Great Metropolitan Stakes :— Welcome Jack (top weight). 9st 3lb; Vanguard, Bst 101 b ; Oudeis, Bst 41b ; Liverpool, 7di 41b ; Thunderbolt, 6it 121 b. . ;
