The Speech from the Throne acknowledges the prompt response niadf by all classes of the community to the demands of Government for increased naval and military protection for tho colony. It is expected during the coming session the Government will be able te submit to Parliament a measure for giving effect to the Enabling Act, passed by the Imperial Government, providing for the federation of the colonies. The speech concludes with congratnlations on the flourishing condition ef the colony generally. Albany, June 16. The men charged with the robbery at the Simpson branch of the National Bank of Australia were brought before the Magistrate to-day and remanded. Adklaidb, June 17.
