A young women named Elisabet£ Harris made a deliberate attempt to commit suicide to-day by throwing herself doon tho hold of the steamer leaie falling a distance of 30 feet. She fell oa the kelsoa, but was conscious on being brought ou to the deck, when she -repeatedly said that she iatended to kill herself, as she was tired of her life. Sh* was removed to the hospital, but it is feared that her spine is injured. Bho is a married woman, and had boon drinking.
