The prisoners (Alexander Boss and Milne Smith) wtit were recently arrested on a charge of being concerned in the extensivo robbery from the London Chartered Bank at Horsham, in May 1884, were examined yesterday, and remanded for further evidence. Sydney, June 1. The drought still continue!:, and there is no sign of rain. Great inconvenience is being experienced in the city and country from waat of woter. Sir Henry Loch, Governor of Victoria, and Lady Loch are at present in this city on a visit to His Excellency, Lord Loftus. Bbisbane, June 2. The determination of the Government to return all island laborers serving in Quonsland to their homes has caused great dissatisfaction among the sugar growers, and some planters are resisting their return.
