I 1 HALCOMBE "AND SHERWILL'S STOCK REPORT. We had a highly sueccessful sale sit Feilding on Thursday, the 7th iust. The bidding for yonon cattle was spirited, older cattle not being quite up to late rates. ; Sheep sold remarkably well, all being .«old under the hammer except one pen. The following prices were realised: —Cattle. -Fat cows, £3 Is to £4 4s ; 18---months to 2 year-old steers, £2 5s ; yearling to 18-months" steers. £1 10s to £1 15s 2 vcar-old heifers, £1 JOs to £1 19s; 2£ to 3-year-old steers, £3 12s 6d to £4 10.1. Skeep.— Store eves, 7s Id to 8« 6d ; ewes in lamb (indifferent), 5s sd ; fat ewes, 6s 5d to 8s 9d ; fat wethers, Us 4d ; shorn lambs, 4s 2d ; lambs »" wool, 4s 6d,6s 9d aud 7s ; 2 tooth weihers, 9s 2d. Figs.— Good «ows £2 2s 6d to £2 15s ; weaners, 6s e«i to 15s. Hefses.— Hacks, £5 U> £8; draught colt. £0.
