Ladies and Gentlemen. — In becoming a candidate for your suffrages, and seeking the honor to represent you in the Borough Council, I do so in the belief that my presence there will be of service to yon, and for the benefit oi the Borough. Should yon do me the honor to elect me, I pledge myself to advocate a policy of retrenchment and judicious economy in every possible direction, and to loyally support my brother councillors who have similar views.
