The Catholic Concert
We need hardly remind our readers' of the concert which, will take place in the Public Hall to-morrow evening in aid of the funds olthe Roman Catholic Church. There are two excellent reasons why we expect the concert to be a financial success. First, because the music is certain to be of the highest order, and well rendered by the skilled performers who have so kindly undertaken the pleasurable duty, and secondly from the fact that this is really ; the first time that this religious body has made any call upon the public of Feilding for any support of any consequence. On their part the Roman Catholics in our midst have readily and liberally supported every other religious body; if not directly, they have done so. indirectly, and their hands have always been open to the claims of the poor and distressed. We expect, therefore, to see a crowded house, and a hearty welcome given to those ladies and gentlemen from Palmerston, to whom we, beforehand, admit our indebtedness for a pleasant two hours* entertainment. The programme appears in our first page.
