Our total imports of wpcl bad increased fr0m3^.000,0661b in 1874 to 519.0(10,000 in 1884— an increase of nearly 50 per cent. We now got # per cent. Inite&d of 10 per cent, from Europe, and 4 per e;nt. instead of 7 per cent; from Sdiith America, while Australia and New Zealand sent Aow. three fourths' instead of twe^thirdsJof the whole.
