Mr Ballaace laid he intended, en hi* return to Wellington, abolishing the wuglatien requiring rifle corps in the colony to wear the same uniform. He was of opinion: each corps should decide on its own uniform. He alee deprecated the practice of sending Home for uniforms, and thought that they should be made in the colony from eolonially manufacture tweeds, even though costing a li'tl« more.
