This step will certainly place our business men in . a good position, inasmuch as they will I participate in the profits de-rived from them through carriage on their goods. | We feel confident that Mr inton will ■■ not have any difficulty in placing the ' 1,200 £3 sh;ires amongst our business L men in this district and its surroundings. The application and allotment calls are . five shillings each. The eld company retains one fourth of the shares as a guarantee of good faith. As -li owing the profits which have been derived, we may mention that the vessel was bought two years ago, the shareholders paying £1 per share on their £5 shares. Mo calls have been made since, and the boat has cleared herself, and 12§ per cent over and above the £5 ihares has been paid to the lucky shareholders. Mr Linton will be in Feilding on Monday with the share list.
