♦ [eEUTEE's TELEGBAMB.I Sydney, Feb. 25. The steamship Ringarooma arrived yesterday, from Auckland. Soon after : she was berthed, it was discovered that tbi? steward, named Thomas Jamas, was suffering from small-pox. The passengers had disembarked, but fifteen of them were subsequently secured, and sent to the quarantine station. Several other passengers camrot be traced, and are still at large. The outbreak of smallpox on board the steamer Ringarooma, from Auckland to Sydney, created some little excitement here. The examination of New Zealand ports of each Sydney vessel will be a most minute one, and every precaution will be taken to prevent the spread of the disease in this colony.
