This was a grand race, and was won by a length, Minerva being tiro lengths away third. Dividends— liwide (£2 shares), £6 10s; outside, £3 16s. ° Hutt County Handicap — Gmri 1, Surrey 2» Potaka 3. A capital start was effected, Giriri going to the front at the bottom of the course. Surrey went up to Giriri at the top near the road. The latter had the race well in hand and won comfortably by a length, 1 otaka being four lengths behind third. Time, 2min. 20 I*s sec.^ Dividend, £2 Us. Latkb. Dynamite was second in the Hutt County Handicap. - Hutt Park Stakes.— Kubina, 1 ; Ugly Back, 2 ; Lady Evelyn, 3.
