Fire at Wellington
(FEB UNITED FBBBS ASSOCIATION.) Wbllinoton, This Day. A fire broke out at 12.30 to-day in the workshop attached to W. Nicholson's furniture establishment in Cuba-street. The flames spread quickly, and the shop was enveloped in flames in a few minutes Severe comments weie passed in the way the Fire Brigade went to work as there was a grand supply of water. After half an hour's battle, however, the flames were got under, but not before one or two cottages in the vicinity were damaged. Several neighboring residents have lost by the hanty removal of their furniture. . llie building destroyed is insured for £500 and it is understood the Standard also haye a line. Nicholson estimates his loss at close on £1,000. The origin of the fire is surrounded with mystery.
