Middle Island Railway
• _FBB TOUTED PBESS ASSOCIATION. Nelson, Tbis Day. Canterbury and Nelson havo combined for the purpose of the scheme for constructing the railway from Springfield to Brunnerton and thence to Nelson. At a meeting of the Nelson guarantors held yesterday afternoon it was resolved to send Home Mr C. T. Fell, Mayor oi Nelson, aud to act in conjunction with Messrs Scott and Dobson, the delegates from Canterbury. The necessary fundare being guaranteed, and the delegates leave for London by tho Tongariro in about a week.
