Marton-Rangitikei Derby — Parvenu and Titckowaru started, the former winning. District Handicap. — Scrutineer 1, Ringleador 2, Kimikai 3. Hannicap Hack Race, of 10 soys. — Germaine 1, Leader 2. The Makino Brass Band played on both days at the races, and also at a ball given in the evening of the first day. As usual, they gave every satisfaction, and their performances were much admired.
