The English Cricketers
(BETFTEBS TELEGEAM9.) Adelaide, December 12. A match was commenced here to-day between the English cricketers and the Australian eleven who were in England this year. No other match between these teams has been arranged. Received December 13, 0.45 a.m. | Adelaidr, December 13. The Australians continued at the wicket all the afternoon, and put together a total of 243 runs before the last wicket fell. The following are the remainder of the scores : — McDonell, b, 124; Giffen, b, 4 ; Scott, b, 18 ; Bonner, c, 4 ; Alexander, run out, 3 ; Blackburn, c, 66 ; Palmer, c. 6 ; Boyle, c, 1 ; Cooper, not out, nil ; extras, 11; total, 243. M cDonnell's play was much admired, and his brilliant hitting was frequently applauded.
