We were again unlucky in the weather for our sale at Palmerston on the 9th inst., and the Awahuri bridge was dangbrous, which prevented some stock coming forward, but independent to that we yarded 169 head of cattle and about 400 sheep. We sold all the cattle excepting 17 head and all the sheep excepting one pen of wethers pnssed in at 9s 9d. The attendance was good. The following rates were realized :— 4 to 5-yr bullocks, L 5 15s ;3 to 4-yr bullocks, L 4 15s ; 3-yr steers, L 3 15s ; 2to 2£-yr steers, L 3 2s ; 18-montbV stoers, L 2 7s 6d ; jearlinjt steers 111 17s 6d ; yearling heifers, 23s to 24s 6d ; mixed yearlings, 28s ; milch cows, L 2 10s to L 3 10s ; fat ewes, 9s 9d ; store wethers, 7» 10d , ewes and lambs, 10s ; hacks, L 3 2s6d to LU ss.
