♦ [PRR UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.] j Dunedin, This Day. j Further particulars of the Nenthorn fatal affray show that the quarrel arose in banter over a dog fight and the affray j lasted some hours. Meldrum was found j lying inside the creek in an insensible condition. The principal wound appears to be a stroke on the head from the butt end of a gun, which is said to have been given him by Fitzgerald, who is still at large. He was also stabbed m several places with a shoemaker's knife. An | inquest will be held to-day.
