THE LONDON WOOL SALES.
Wellington, December 2. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company report under date Loudon, 29th November: — The wtol sales closed to-day ;29th November) at the level of last sales, except for the following sorts, viz., clothing (washed), short staple merino (scoured), short staple merino (heavy in grease)., and course scoured crossbred, for all of which the market is easier. The sales comprise about 335,000 bales; 10,000 bales have been held oter for future disposal, and 70,00<) bales were taken for export. The Continental demand was good, but tbe Home trade are purchasing sparingly.
