Fending School Committee
A meeting of the committee was field last night. Present — Messrs Nicholas (chairman), Watts, Bray, Rutherford, and Worsfold.' The minutes of the prerious meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence read from the Education Board, Wanganui, re the appointment of an auditor. Resolred, That Mr Beattie be asked to act as auditor for thia school. Applications were receired from Messrs Lyne, Morris, and Hammond for the post of Truant Inspector. It was proposed by Mr Worsfold 1 , seconded by Mr Rutherford that Mr Hammond reeeiTe the appointment. — , Carried. Miss E. Diamond sent in her resignation as a cadet in this school, which was received. Resolved, That the children hare the usual treat at the re-opening of the school after the Christmas holidays, and that the committeemen each take a subscript tioa list to raise funds for the same. This was all the business and the meeting then adjourned.
