The N.Z.L.& M.A. Company report Under date of November 6 : — Hidks. DtttfßDiN. — The demand continues steady at last quotations. Heavy hides free from cuts and well trimmed, weighing 60lb and over, are in most demand. Chbiotchcbch.— The market is without change. Local tanners absorb all coming forward on the sliding seals of prices quoted in our No. 31. .Auckland. — Prices have improved since last report ; supplies having been short, current rates for medium weights range from 3^d to 3|d per Ib. Wkllington. — Bosiness is without variation. All consignments coming to hand, particularly if. of heavy weights, being readily placed at quotations. Hops. — This produce is moving slowly. Brewers seen inclined to wait, with t!;e hope of lower prices. In view of late English and American quotations, how ever, it is expected that rates will harden somewhat. Orders have been coming in more freely during the past few days, l'rices may be quoted at Is 3d to Is 6d.
