The Marionettes
• This company which will appear in the ' Public Hall this and to-morrow night, may safely expect bumper houses. The Wanganui Herald in speaking of their performances says: — The antics of the skeleton caused as much laughter as ever, and the harlequinade is nightly the cause of much amusement. The accuracy of the acting of these figures is wonderful, and it is not hard to imagine the figures are animated, and are going through their parts of their own will. We may mention here that the mu-ical accompaniments are better than the ordinary run of those heard in Wanganui, and the music alone is worth hearing. The " manikins " have had a good run in Wanganui, and their tricks and songs were as much appreciated on the last night of their appearance as when they first opened. It is admitted that the Marionettes are one of the Wonders of tho World.
