STOCK REPORT.
Messrs Halcombe and Sherwill report: i —At our sale of stock held- at Feilding on the 6th instant, the attendance was large and the bidding fairly brisk. Mac stock sold at good prices, but female stock were, as usual, neglected, except fat cows. The following are the prices realized :-Beef (Kgixt). & 10s ? 3 '> ear steers, £4 4s to £4 17s 6d ; 2-year steer-, £2 14s 6d ; 2-year heifers, £2 ; fat cows. £3 to £5 10s ; cows (store), £1 10s to £2; milch cows dull of sale ; yearlings, £1 to £15s; calves (good lot), 225; fat sheep (shorn), 10s ld ; store wethers, 8s 9d ; fat ewes, 9s sd ; hoggets, 9s 5d to 10s; draught horses dull; 1 fi"y sold for £3/ privately after the sale ; hacks (screws), £3. The weather was cold and wet. For 25 prime beef we were offered £7 10s, but the vendor rehised the ofEer. ' ■
