♦ LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. [PRE UNITED PBBSS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, November 1. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. PEOGBESS OF BILLS. The Beetroot Sngar Bill and Westland Education Subdivision Bill were read a first timo. — On the motion for the third reading of the Drainage of Mines Bill, Dr Pollen moved, That the bill bo road a third time that day six months. The bill was read a third time by 18 to 12, and afterwards passed. — The Municipal Corporations Bill was read a second timo and committed, being afterwards reported with amendments. — The Klectric Linos Bili was also considered in Committee, read a third time, and passed. — The Wanganui Harbor Board Empowering Bill was committed and reported with amendments The Council adjournod at 4.30 p.m. till Tuesday at 2.30 p.m. mm tn jmimimraa^aaß
