Roads and Bridges
It will be of considerable interest to our readers resident in the Manawatu to know that the following roads were brought under the Roads and Bridges Construction Act, on the motion of the Minister for Public Works, on Thursday last : — Manawatu : Cheltenham cross road, Fitzherbert Block, to Manawatu Gorge; Foxton, via Elkin's corner, to section 98 ; Moutoa Block, Bunnythorpe, through Ashurst and Pohangina Valley to Block C, Pohangina Survey District. Oroua Road, along the south side of the railway line, from Bunnythorpe to the Borough of Feilding. The district is indebted to Mr Macartuuk, M.H.8., for these concessions.
