In the Legislative Assembly last evening, a resolution authorising the construction of a railway through the city to Circular Quay was passed by 53 to 14. Received October 23, 1.15 p.m. Sydney, This Day. H-M.S. Nelson, Commodore Erskiae, sailed yesterday for New Guinea. Additional loan estimates, amounting to over a million sterling, have been introduced in the Assembly.
