MELBOURNE WOOL SALES.
[bKVTBB's TBLBGSJ.HS.] Mblbocbnb, October 15. GokUborough and Company, Limited held their second wool Auction of tins seaxm to-day. The sale was a great ■uecvss, 3&*o bales being offered, and 3OBU disposed of under the hammer, iioud Ifnawy realised to 10|d, and one small lot of superior brought 12|d; scoured wools realised to Is 9d. There was a large attendance of buyers, and a brisk competition was again experienced. Large catalogues will bo submitted henceforward. October 16. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (limited) held thtir second wool sale for the senson to-day. There was an excellent attendance of buyers. The competition was animated, and 1,340 bales were sold. The market for grea»y merinos was decidedly firmer, and the parcels offered to-day realised up to io|d. Scoured wools brought up to Is B|d.
