Destructive Fires
[PBB UNITED PBEBS ASSOCIATION.] Patba, This Day. A cottnge occupied by Mrs Seaton was burned to the ground at three o'clock this morning of a kerosene lamp. The building was owned by Mrs Guy, and was insured for £100 in the National. The furniture was insured for £80 in the Colonial. Ihvebcabgili, Thin Day. Kingswell's fellmongery at Waikiwi was burned down on Thursday night. The following are the insurances : - Building and plant in the Standard tor £600 ; Colonial, £500 ; Fire Association, £250 ; Australian Mercantile Union, £250; National, £500. The Gap Road Hotel, near Winton, was burned down last night. The cause is unknown. Nothing was Bared. The landlord, S. James, was absent in Win* ton. Insurances— £2oo in Colonial on house, and £150 on stock and furniture iv Equitable. Blbxhkim, This Day. A house was burned down yesterday morning, belonging to Dixon Cottley. The cuuso of the fire was a defective stove pipe. No insurance.
