Otherwise, unless or prime, wheat is unsaleable. Quotations nominal — Tuscan, 3s 2d ; Pearl, 3s Id ; Hunter's, 3s ; seconds is not easily quitted even at Is 6d to 2s 6d. Flour, £8 l" ! s to £9 per ton % oatmeal, £11 per ton. Oats at 2s 6d for milling and 2s 3d for feed samples. For barley, 3s 6d to' 4s. Cheese is quoted at 4d to 4£d per lbj butter (salt), business dormant, 7d to Bd. Hams and bacon, 8d to 9d per lb. Rye- grass seed, 3a 6d to 3s 9d per bushel ; cocksfoot, sound, bright, 4M to 4|d perlb. Jx>tatoes, demand continues active, and may be quoted at 55s to 70s per ton at country stations : they are quoted at 95s f.o.b. at Lyttelton. Live Stock. — Beef is quoted at 18s to 81» per lOOlto t mtitton, 2£d to 2f d per ib. Bacon pigs at 50s to 70s 5 porkers, 25s to 40s.
