Messrs Stevens and Gorton report: — We yarded at Awahuri, on Tuesday, the 23rd, 150 head of cattle aud only 75 sheep (f:it wethers.) We sold as follows : - Beef, prime, £8 5s ; medium, £6 5s ; fat cows, £6 ; store rows, 38* to £2 ; weaners, £1 to 255 ; yearlings and 18 months, 26s to 32s 6d ; 2 and 2£ year steers withdrawn at. £3 10s ; dairy cows, dull of sale, £3 K.)s. The slieep. which were of prinu- quality, wi-re withdrawn at 14s. A strong demand exists for 3 and 4 year old steers.
