George Thomas reports produce prices: — Flour is steady at last quoted rates, L 9 to L 9 10s for parcels ; fowls' wheat does not move very rapidly, and stocks are still heavy, the prices ruling from 2s to 2s 9d, there being such a difference in various samples ; oats have advanced 3d per bushel throughout the colony, reports from South state that stocks are becoming exceedingly light, and the demand from Australia, which virtually rules onr market, increasing ; \ quote 2s 6d to 2s 8d for feed and 2s lOd to 3s for milling samples; oatmeal steady at Ll2 maize, 4s 6d ; barley, unaltered, 2s 6rl ; beans, 4s ; bran, L 4 10s ; pollard, Lo 10s; onions (prime) Ll3 ; potatoes are very active, and the increase in value is without doubt likely to- be permanent, prices now rule 85s in store or 80s at wharf or landing place under the hammer. Fresh butter rules from lOd to ls ; eggs, 9d to lOd ; fowls, 4s 9d ; geese 7s ; turkeys, 10s ; ducks, ss. All Sydney fruit is about cleared out at fairly satisfactory rates.
