bktjteb's telegrams Sydney, Sept. 17. Further cases of small-pox have occurred in Kent-street, in the heart of the city. Eight persous have been placed in quarantine.
It has transpired that the Government has uiven notice to the Pacific Mail Company to terminate the San Francisco mail contract in November next, but that the service will be continued for the full term of two years, that is to November 1885. Adelaide, Sept. 17. Arrived, this afternoon, the Orient steamship Iberia, with the inward mails, dated London, August 15.
Intelligence is to hand from the Northern territory that a party of police followed and came up with the blacks wbo recently attacked the party of miners, aud that in the engagement which took place four Blacks were killed.
Melbouene, Sept. 18. The Government announce a new loan of five millions.
