The man Dooley, on a charge of brutally ill-using Iris daughter by thrashing her with a strap with a large buckle at the end, was sentenced to-day to four months' imprisonments Mr W-ardell, R.M., ;said he had examined the child, and found both thigh's were a living mass of bruises, and as black, as ink. He much regretted that he had) not the power of inflicting such a flogging on the man as tile child had received. It would have given : him inuch 1 pleasure to order such a flogging.
