Palmeraton Libel Case

The Wanganui Herald refers to tbe above libel case to be heard at the sitting of the Supreme Conrt at Wanganui. The plaintiff in the case is Mr G. W. Russell, and the defendants Messrs J. McKelvie, and Alexander McMinn — : tbe former as registered proprietor, and the latter ' as registered printer and publisher of the Manawatu Standard. The damages are laid at LIOOO, and the solicitors for the plaintiff are Messrs Izard and Bell, and for the defendants Mr Edward Shaw. The plaintiff bas applied for a special jury and the case will be beard before Mr Justice Richmond. A ■
