Property Sale

There wag a large attendance at the auction rooms of Messis T. Kennedy Macdonald and Co. on Friday la&t, the 29th August, when the firm submitted a number of properties and shares, a portion being in the estate of W. W. Taylor. The following is the result of the sale : — Premises, Lamb ton Quay, known as occupied by Mr Mackay, sold to Mr Brooker, £1050; cottage and land, Normanby Terrace, sold to Mr Startup for £150. Estate of W. W. Taylor— Lot 6, part of section, Carnarvon, containing 77 acres 1 rood, soli to Mr W. Frecklington for £130 ; lot 7, interest in leasehold property, Wanganui, sold to Mr T. Nicholas tor £25 ; lot 8, interest in mortgage of £250 over leasehold property, Wanganui, sold to Mr J. G. W. Aitken for £190; lot 9, interest in leasehold property having frontages to Guy ton street and Victoria Avenue, sold to Mr T. Nicholas for £35 ; lot 10, section, Wellington Terrace, sold to Mr Jacob Joseph for £40 ; lots 12 and 13, two sections, New Plymouth, sold to Mr O. Samuels for £40 ; five Bank of New Zealand shares at £22, £110; one VV ellington Club debenture, £50 ; three shares in Wellington Building Society, £160; 25 shares Wellington Meat Kxport Company at 17s, £21 ss. Total sales, £2001 ss. A number. of the other properties were passed in, and, as was announced; are open for private sale. The auctioneer also directed attention to the sale on the 19th September of the well-known M ana wo run, for many years owned and worked by Mr W. W. Taylor, in the Whareama district.
