Death of Mr T W. Postans

We (Advocate) deeply regret to have to record the death of Mr T. W. Postans head teacher of the Marton public school, which took place on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the cause being typhoid fever. Mr Postans was a native of Enfield, near London, and was only 34 years of age. He had been for a number of years in the employment of the Wanganui Education Board, and was a most painstaking and conscientious teacher. He was head teacher of the Marton school which he had till his death. About eighteen months ago he married a daughter of Mr Flavall, of Halcouibe, who with one child, survives him. We understand that the life of the deceased was insured in several offices for various sums, amounting altogether to about £500. The deceased was buried at Marfcon to-day.
