BKUTBBB TELEOBAWS Melboubne, August 29. A match for the championship of the world and five hundred pounds a- side, has been arranged between Hanlan and Beach, and will take place on the Paramatta river the first Saturday in May next year. A sculling match has also been arranged between Clifford and Teemer for five hundred pounds a-side. The latest betting on the Metropolitan Stakes is as follows : — Wallangra, 5 to 1 ; Hastngs, 6to 1 ; Off Colour, Bto 1 ; and Malua. 9 to 1. For the Derby Bargo is first favourite at 7 to 1. A sculling match has been arranged between Hanlan and Clifford to take place within five months. The stakes to be £500 a-side.
