Bradlaugh and Freemasonry
■*- The London correspondent of the Freeman's Journal, says Mr Bradlaugh bas written to the °rince of Wales, as a brother Mason, demanding his support for the atheistical propaganda which be alleges is th? mission ot Knglish and Continental Masonry. The Prince, surprised and annoyed, passed the letter on to the Depucy-Grand Master, Lord Cam irvon, who, the correspondent believer, is about to move th* Grand Lodge to expel Air Braril&ugh. in which he ists in the Freemason body will will no doubt succeed. Other atlie-d«>ubtlo-s secede if one of their number is expe led for holding* their ouinious. The London correspondent of the Leeds ercury confirms tie rumour and says thit one of the fundamental articles of Freemasonr) is the acknowledgment of " The upre*».e Architect oi the Universe." This is a doctrine which Mr Bradlaugh cau hardly be supposed to entertain. It is expected that at the next meeting of the Grand lodge, the Earl of Carnarvon will call attention to the subject, and that references will be madeto certain letters A-ritten by Mr Pradlaugh to the Prince oi Wales, in which allusion is made to the fact tkac they both belong to the Masonic body.
