The Rome team with 4 wickets down for 218 continued their first innings, which closed for a total of 273. The highest scorers to-day were:— Gunn, b., 68 ; and Selby, l.b.w. 37. The visitors then went in for their second inings, and were all put out for 141. The principal scorers were :— McDonnell, b., 28 ;, Giffen, b., 25 ; Bonnor, c, 26,; and Bluckham, c, 16. The Home team requiring 134 runs to win the match,then went in for their second innings, but only scored 15 runs with one wickqt down when the slumps were drawn for the day, arid the match was therefore drawn in favour of the Home team, whe had 9 wickets to fall and 119 runs to make to win.
