There has been a tetnpic rain fall here during the past two days and the river is so high as to stop ferry communication on the Masterton and Mamiwatu Gorge roads. Snow fell heavily last night and it is said to have been the most severe ever experienced for seven years- Tbe lambing season having began, flock owners are suffering severe losses. r Wellington, This Day. Sir Julius Yogel is said to be again seriously unwell. Mcgrath, formerly a contractor and publican in Wellington, and who abscoaded some months back, has been arrested at Sydney on a charge of fraudulent bankruptcy at Wellington. This is the second Wellington publican who has been arrested in Austrlia for a similar offence within the last six months.
