The German steamship Hassia from Hamburg which left Adelaide for Melbourne on the 11th instant, has not yet arrived here. Fears are entertained for her safety; as her cargo included 200,000 cases of dynamite.

Poppens, the absconding hotel keeper from Wellington, who was released on bail last Friday, has been re-arrested at the instance of his surety, who suspected Poppens intended to make his escape. -
The steamship Hassia, for the safety of which fears were entertained, has arrived here.
