COMMERCIAL.
Messrs Stevens & Gorton report as follows : —At our sale at Palmer.ston on Tuesday, the attendance was large, buyers from Wanganui, etc., being present. Bidding was brisk, and all the lots, except 2 cows, were disposed of.
Cattle.- Beef, ligU*, £6 7s 9d ; 2-year steers, £3 2s 6d ; 2^-year heifers £2 7s 6d ; 3 and 4-year steers, from £4 10s to £5 2s 6d ; yearling steers, 30s ; cows £2 10s to £5.
Sheep.— Ewes in lamb, 10s 8d ; fat cheep medium, 11s 9d.
Poultry. — From Is 6d to 3s 6d each. Grain. — Bran, old, 2s 6d to 3s per suck; pollard, old 7s 9d to 8s 3d per sack ; flour, £9 to £9 10s per ton.
