Nothing now remains to be said on the subject of the rights of tlio Manchester settlers to have a fair survey made of thatpart of theconntrj which they believe to contain a route, if not better, at least I as good as any of the others proposed by which to connect with the central line. The member for the Mnnawntu, Mr MACAivrntrß, must feel that he will be supported in his endeavors to obtain " fair play " by every man in the electorate who lias the interests of the district and Colony at heart. From the tcne of the meeting, the determination to havo a proper survey und exploration of the Oroua and Kiwitea. Valleys is clear and fixed.
