BEUTEB'S TELBGBAMB. London, July 26. Sir Michael Hicks-Beach, Lords Rosebery, Dunraven, Shaftesbury, Stanhope and Mr Murray-Smith wiil attend the Federation Conference. The Standard publishes a telegram today, stating that a pitched battle was fought between the Hovas and the French troops in Madagascar, and that the attack of the latter was repulsed with considerable loss on June 27. H. M. ships Carysfort and Turquoise, Mediterranean squadron, have been ordered to Suakim. A Conference to consider the question of Imperial Federation, will shortly be held in London. The leading members of both the Liberal and Conservative parties have announced their intention of taking part in the proceedings. Cholera has made its appearance in Spezia, a town in the north of Italy, on the Gulf of Genoa. Received July 29, 0.55 a.m. Pabis, July 27. A considerable decrease in the number of deaths from cholera is now manifest at Toulon. The disease is, however, spreading at Aries, and has appeared in a virulent form at Aix, 16 miles north-east of Marseilles. Six deaths occurred at Ait to.day, and the .'inhabitants of the town are flying in a panic. .... _ . London,' July 28.'
