Bunnythorpe School

The usual weekly entertainment took place on Monday evening, being commenced by an overture by Messrs Bowman and Slipper on the harmonium and violin, after which followed readings and songs by Messrs Sexton, Brady, Goldfinch, Kenny, and Prendergast, given in their popular and well-known style. A pleasing change was also introduced by Mr Brady, junior, playing a capital accompaniment to a glee sung by Messrs Sexlon and Brady, senior, and Mrs and Miss Sexton, the said accompaniment being on the cornet. The children also added to the evening's amusement by singing two pieces, and which seemed to be highly appreciated. It must not be forgotten either that Mrs Sexton gave a beautiful song in a very pleasing manner. The attendance was very good and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves^
