I have the honor to be, Yours obediently, JOHN STEVENS. & & f§? mm "il/TANAWATU ELECTION. l\l In pursuance of " The Regulation of Elections Act, 1881," I, JOSEPH HARRIS, Returning Officer of the Electoral District of Manawatu, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the twentyseveuth day of June, 18S4, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an Election will be held for the return of one qualified person to serve as Member for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at the Town Hall, Palmerston North, at Noon on the liith day of July, 1884 ; and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several polling places of the said district on the 22nd day of July, 1884. The following ;iie the polling places for the Electoral District ot Manawatu : — Town Hall, PALMERSTON NORTH (principal) Court-house, FEILDING School-house, HALCOMBE School-house, ASHURST School-house, KARERE It having been found that the Awahuri School-house is without the limits of the Manawatu Electoral District, a poll cannot be held there ; electors must therefore vote at the other polling places appointed within the district as above. IN pursuance of "The Regulation of Elections Act," 1881, I, Alfred Ross, Returning Officer for the electoral district of Rangitikei, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ bearing date the 27th day of June, 1884, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an Election will be held for the return of one qualified person to serve as a Member for the said electoral district, and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at the Court-house, Marton, on Wednesday, at noon, on the 16th day of July, 1884, and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several polling places of the said district on the 22nd day of July, 1884.
